Today’s Message: The Shocking Sin of Not Being Satisfied Jeremiah 2:9-13

Indictment #1- Pagans are more devout than you. (vv.9-11)

Indictment #2- The Heavens witness aginst you. (v.12)

Indictment #3- You turn from the one who satisfies. (v.13)

Conclusion

1. The fountain of living water is Jesus Christ.
2. The way we get satisfied in Jesus is, feasting on scripture and the banquet of prayer.
3. Only being satisfied in Christ kills the power of sin.

Resurrection-Empowered Preaching

2 Corinthians 4:13-15

13But having the same spirit of faith, according to what is written, “ I BELIEVED, THEREFORE I SPOKE,” we also believe, therefore we also speak,

14knowing that He who raised the Lord Jesus will raise us also with Jesus and will present us with you.

15For all things are for your sakes, so that the grace which is spreading to more and more people may cause the giving of thanks to abound to the glory of God

Why do we Preach?

1. A Great Conviction vs13
2. A Grand Culmination vs14
3. A God Glorifying Conversion vs15
1. Grace
2. Cause
3. Thanksgiving
4. Praise
5. Conversion makes Worshipers

Conclusion

1. Know the Bible more than surface level
2. Risk everything for just one soul, because it’s worth it
3. Pray for the work of Grace in the lost by pleading with God to grant repentance for their sins

Ephesians 4:32

Be kind to one another, tender-hearted, forgiving each other, just as God in Christ also has forgiven you.

This week we had a guest speaker. Mr. Walter Heaton is a missionary in Croatia. Walter graduated from The Master’s Seminary in 1998. He and his family were invited to Croatia that same year. The Heatons are partnering with three other GMI missionary families (the Horvateks, the Dicks, and the Bracketts). These four are all involved in church planting and leadership development, both inside and outside the borders of Croatia.
