It is a joy and a blessing to serve our God as the bride of Jesus Christ.  We believe the church exists to glorify God by making Christ visible, clear and attractive to a corrupt and hopeless world.  We want to spread a passion for God’s Word, a love for the saints and a commitment to preach a biblical gospel to all peoples.  What drives FBC is really our devotion to an exegetical understanding of Scripture that results in expository preaching.  Simply put, studying the Bible to understand it, explain it and live it as our Lord intended it to be read, heard and applied!  This is exactly what the first church was like, continually devoting themselves to the apostles’ teaching and to fellowship, to the breaking of the bread and to prayer, Acts 2:42. 

We invite you to use this web page to help you learn God’s Word and to get a little insight into FBC.  It’s primarily a help to the local body of Christ, but if you are not a member you are welcome to take advantage of all that’s available.  If you are coming into the area and are looking for a gathering committed to sound doctrine we would love to fellowship with you and welcome you to join us.  You can find information on our services here, or can contact us by phone or through email. 

May it not be said of us, “I looked for the church and I found it in the world; I looked for the world and I found it in the church,” Horatius Bonar.  Instead, we see the church as John Calvin, “Purity of doctrine is the soul of the church…the excellence of the church does not consist in multitude but in purity…the source and origin of the church is the free love of God.” Our aim is as D. Martyn Lloyd-Jones put it, “The glory of the gospel is that when the church is absolutely different from the world she invariably attracts it.”

May the Lord bless you in your singular pursuit of Him by grace alone, through faith alone, in Christ alone, on the Word alone.
